When you think of clear crisp air, mountains topped off with snow and endless green pastures what comes to mind? If your guess is Switzerland then you’ve guessed right. I arrive in Luzern with my mind set on hiking up Mount Stanserhorn, but with time not on my side I decide to take the quicker yet still very scenic route. I hop aboard the Oldtimer Funicular Train that’s operated since 1893 and ride up the steep mountain for about 15 minutes while catching glimpses of goats, rabbits and a heard of sheep. Half way there, I then take a ride up on a cable car that is known as the first cable car with a roofless upper deck giving you breathtaking panoramic views. Over 6,000 feet in the air, I step into heaven where all I see are endless mountaintops and take in the majestic views.
